We all love Lane 8, right? I’ve once done the pluck he’s used on the track Fingerprint, and now I’m recreating the pluck he used for his track ‘Atlas’ with Xfer Serum, a song released on his label ‘This Never Happened’.
Even if you’re not a fan, the technique used to create this pluck is really nice. It uses FM to modulate the sound and definitely will enhance your skillset once you do this preset and this pluck works really well with Progressive House and Melodic House. Let’s listen first to what we’re trying to recreate:
If you don’t have Serum, you can definitely try to recreate it with Vital, which is a free synth. Now, let’s go to Serum and recreate Lane 8’s pluck:
