Deadmau5 and Kaskade made some amazing songs together, and their newest song as Kx5 is simply amazing. When I first listened to ‘Alive’, I knew I had to recreate this lead as it sounded a bit simple, but also interesting enough to cover in a tutorial. Cool, isn’t it? It sounds a bit like Afterlife and melodic techno, but also has that progressive house vibe that is characteristic of Deadmau5’s and Kaskade’s new project. Now, let’s go to the tutorial? As usual, we’re using Xfer Serum for this tutorial, but you definitely recreate this only using Vital as we’re just using the initial wavetables.
